For more than 20 years, I have worked in corporate cybersecurity, from building SOCs and incident response capabilities to security consulting and enterprise security management. Throughout that time, one thing has remained clear to me: much of high-quality cybersecurity still depends heavily on the knowledge and time of individual experts.

That expertise is invaluable. When every assessment, decision, and explanation depends on people, however, security inevitably becomes expensive and difficult to scale. As a result, many organizations that need strong security are unable to access the knowledge and capabilities they need. I founded Pentacon Research to change that structure.

AI has dramatically expanded what can be delivered through software. We do not see AI simply as a way to make existing work more efficient. We use it to turn sophisticated security operations and expertise—work that has traditionally depended on specialists—into software that can be delivered at scale. We research, measure, and validate in the real world, then turn what we learn into systems that can be used repeatedly by anyone.

PentaTrail is our first implementation of that idea. Our goal is to make advanced cybersecurity, once accessible only to a limited number of organizations, available regardless of company size. Guided by our mission, “Helping every organization see hidden risks,” we are building a world where security is delivered naturally—almost like the air around us.
